Jonah's in the EMU

It's 10: 30 a.m. and Jonah is officially in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at the hospital. He has been a real trooper this morning. He had to be stuck 5 times to get IV access - whew!! - finally got it in his right arm. EEG has been in and has him hooked up for head, heart and abdominal monitoring. He says he looks like a robot. The doctor said we could watch movies, so we are getting ready to watch Chicken Little. We went to the movie store and loaded up yesterday after church. Daddy bought him a WebKinz yesterday to bring to the hospital, so Wacky Zingo is laying in the bed with him. He wants Wacky to get hooked up to the monitor, too. We are excited to get good information about his seizure disorder to be able to help him better. He typically seizes in his sleep, so this is the best way to monitor what's going on and make sure his medication is effective since we can't actually "see" the seizures typically.

Jonah has been great this morning and all the staff love him! Who wouldn't?
